My idea for this would be a Parabellum-esque story devoid of any Stockholm Syndrome; i.e., Elissa never succumbs to any trauma bonding, ultimately escaping from and getting her revenge on her tormentor. (Loghain and/or Nathaniel's involvement is up in the air.)

This probably works best if it's set in an AU in which it turns out it wasn't a Blight after all.

tropes (not played for fetishism): noncon, kidnapping, character death (of Cousland's family), imprisonment/enslavement

With Vyrthur being the aggressor, naturally!

My plot bunny was simply that Vyrthur managed to defeat or kill DB and Serana, and decided he'd had enough of sitting around. His bitterness prompts him to attack his own brother. And defile him atop the wayshrine, while gloating that Auri-El did not protect him, and that the deaths of Serana and the DB are on Gelebor's head.

I would really like a first defiant, then defeated and broken Gelebor, and a Vyrthur with a twisted sense of affection. But please don't have Vyrthur just kill him at the end D:

I've recently installed the Alternate Start mod and began as a Dunmer in Windhelm and came up with this prompt idea. I hope there isn't another like it, but if there is a fill similar please link me to it.

Anyway:

A Dunmer man who grew up in Windhelm, and a kind hearted Nord girl take a liking to each other and secretly have an affair without either of their people knowing. They have dreams of running away and setting up a new life, but it is difficult to leave the high walls of Windhelm.
The Dunmer takes all sorts of jobs to raise money while Susanna works at Candlehearth Hall. When the Dunmer returns (possibly as the newly named DB) he finds out that Susanna has been murdered and decides to track down the killer and seek his revenge.

So Cullen describes what he went through in the Circle in Ferelden, trapped and forced to confront a demon and those who couldn't resist were killed.

And it hit me, Cullen basically went through something very similar to the Harrowing. Clearly he is unable to make that connection, but a mage Trevelyan makes it immediately.

When mage!Trevelyan tells this to Cullen, but he's rather adamant that the Harrowing is not that bad and that it's necessary. Mage!Trevelyan is not having any of that crap.

I just want someone to point out that the thing that left Cullen horribly scarred is something that almost all mages are forced to go through, maybe give him a little sympathy towards them.

(please don't make this romantic, Cullen/any mage really squicks me out)

According to Solas, sex in the Fade would draw the attention of demons. I've seen a lot of fan-fiction that has Solas/Lavellan gettin' it on in the fade without any...visitors. I would like to see what would happen if they caught the attention of a M!Desire Demon.

When the Sloth demon puts everyone to sleep, Mouse from her Harrowing comes to help either Surana or Amell break free. Key word being 'help' - he genuinely assists her and helps her out with no catch this time. Sure, maybe she impressed him and he wants something from her in the long run - it doesn't have to be entirely altruistic - but he does nothing to betray her or attempt to harm her. Before the final battle with Sloth to break free of the Fade, she has to say goodbye to him. No blood mages, please.

Nothing messes with Orana, Bodan, or Sandal under Hawke's watch. Give me Hawke being the best boss to their loyal employees. Accompanying Orana on errands if she feels unsafe. Watching over Sandal when Bodan has the flu. Kicking the butt of any noble who would dare come under the Amell roof and insult their workers.

In the aftermath, When the Eye of Magnus was returned, I was poking around in the Archmage's quarters and I felt like an intruder in another's house.

Then I opened a dresser drawer.

And found the Amulet of Mara.

And my heart broke.

In my headcannon Savos and Mirabelle were great friends. He's naturally powerful, an absolute genius, but still frightened of making the mistakes that cost him his fellows. She's quick, witty, sharp and can run a College full of Mages in a way that they don't immolate themselves.

In my head, they've been good friends, Have a laugh and very interested in each other. But for at least a decade neither of them ever had the balls to say, "Fancy a drink?"
