In the aftermath, When the Eye of Magnus was returned, I was poking around in the Archmage's quarters and I felt like an intruder in another's house.
Then I opened a dresser drawer.
And found the Amulet of Mara.
And my heart broke.
In my headcannon Savos and Mirabelle were great friends. He's naturally powerful, an absolute genius, but still frightened of making the mistakes that cost him his fellows. She's quick, witty, sharp and can run a College full of Mages in a way that they don't immolate themselves.
In my head, they've been good friends, Have a laugh and very interested in each other. But for at least a decade neither of them ever had the balls to say, "Fancy a drink?"
