Fenris & Hawke's Mabari, Fenris

I was playing Mass Effect 2 and encountered these little guys:

For people unable to open the image: robot dogs that are vaguely mabari-shaped, named 'FENRIS'.

So I got this idea.... Hawke's mabari is named Fenris. When Hawke meets Fenris the elf, they really really really don't want to reveal their dog's name to him, because they have a feeling Fenris wouldn't take it well, and also it's super awkward. But on the other hand, Fenris the mabari is very useful in battle, and also Hawke's beloved pet, so they don't want to leave leave it behind whenever they go somewhere with Fenris the elf.
Cue crazy antics! Hawke interrupting sibling & Leandra in ridiculous whenever they're about to call the mabari by its name, using nicknames for it whenever they address it or talk about it, changing the topic of conversation whenever Fenris the elf asks about the dog... etc.

+ Anders finds out and is a dick about it (I love Anders, but... he would be a dick about it)
++ others can't decide whether Hawke's antics are crazy or sweet or both
+++ Fenris knows from the start (like maybe Hawke called the dog's name in battle before Fenris introduced himself) but plays along

Dat crack doe. I will readily admit I'm mostly amused by the thought of A) Anders being a complete dick about it and B) Fenris knowing but playing oblivious (I assume that at first he's actually kinda genuinely uncomfortable/pissed... and then he just finds it endearing).
