Sometimes it seems like his eyes are always on her, watching her so closely that she hardly feels like she can breathe beneath the scrutiny. She can't even decide what it is he's looking for, whether his vigil stems from some jealousy she won't ever be able to understand or if he simply fears that if he looks away for more than a few moments, if he dares to let her out of his sight without another way to monitor her, whether that be Hyde or Simon and Nadia or anyone else, he might look back to find her gone.
