So Carver goes and joins the Templars. And from day one he sees that Anders wasn't exaggerating about the templar/mage situation. I'd like to see our boy's eyes opened to the horror stories some of the mages are facing. Maybe he attends a harrowing that ends VERY badly or he watches some of his fellows put an apprentice to the blade for absolutely no reason but a little sassing backtalk and report that they suspected blood magic or someone makes a casual comment about how "easy" it is to get laid if he's careful about not getting caught and doesn't leave too many bruises or signs of physical damage or whatever you can come come up with, but the point is Carver ends up very disturbed by the power imbalance and abuses going on every day.
