He remembers the way she looked at him on the day he fell in love with her, that fierce and furious glare that drew his attention to her for the first time and stirred something inside him that he doubts will ever fade. He remembers how his heart broke for her when she told him what her mother had done and again when Simon died. He remembers the watching them together and hoping that keeping Simon close would help anchor her to his side. But that's all in the past, and he has plenty more memories to make with her.
