Title: Smell
Fandom: Parabellum (original fiction)
Wordcount: 100
Characters: Sparrow/Stelian Frost
Prompt(s):
5_sense
When he steps out of the shower, he smells like clean soap and men's shampoo, but that's soon replaced by his cologne. If it's winter, he'll spend the day wearing a heavy wooden scent, warm and inviting, that she'll only be able to smell if she's very close; if it's summer, he'll have the subtlest hint of something light and breezy that she can't put her finger on but reminds her of the beach anyway. But it's at the end of the day, when the lights are out and he's lying naked in bed beside her, that he smells best.
Title: Taste
Fandom: Parabellum (original fiction)
Wordcount: 100
Characters: Sparrow/Stelian Frost
Prompt(s):
5_sense
He's always been very careful with his hygiene. She didn't notice it at first, not until after the night they had that talk about him putting his mouth a bit further back than he normally did, but she notices it now. Wherever her lips are, wherever her tongue is, there is very conspicuously no flavor at all, just the taste of skin and the faintest hint of salt, not even the slightest trace of his soap or cologne or anything else. And yet she knows why he does it; even now, he fears letting her see even a single flaw.
Title: Touch
Fandom: Parabellum (original fiction)
Wordcount: 100
Characters: Sparrow/Stelian Frost
Prompt(s):
5_sense
There has never been a time when he didn’t feel good, never been a single night when he wasn’t leagues better than anything she'd ever had before him. This is exactly what she'd dreaded all along, this conflation of pleasure and affection that's coming dangerously close to making "stay" seem like a viable option when her only actual hope lies in "go". But even if she's sure she'll still never fall so far as to love him, she can't say the same for the way he makes her feel when he touches her, desperately trying to convince her to stay.
Title: Thought
Fandom: Parabellum (original fiction)
Wordcount: 100
Characters: Sparrow/Stelian Frost
Prompt(s):
5_sense
At first, she thought about him all the time. Doing anything else would be dangerous; she need to learn him, needed to knows what was safe and what would put her in peril, and she needed to start coming up with a plan. And then, slowly, he let her have other things to think about, made himself seem less an all-consuming black hole draining the life from her and more like a begrudgingly tolerated inconvenience, an unwelcome hurdle to conquer instead of something to escape. And so, once again, she thinks about him all the time. Perhaps it was inevitable.
Title: Love
Fandom: Parabellum (original fiction)
Wordcount: 100
Characters: Sparrow/Stelian Frost
Prompt(s):
5_sense
Sparrow will never understand what love is. Love is what Simon feels for Nadia, and what Nadia feels for him. Love is what her mother called her when she was very little, years before she sold her to a man who said he loved virgin girls. Love is what Frost calls her now, what he tries to convince her that he feels for her, and what she will never truly believe he understands any more than she does. Love is something she never wanted and never dreamed of receiving. And love, Sparrow hopes very desperately, is something she'll never feel.
