Life before Frost is just a memory now, and it's not a particularly good one. And while there are more than a few memories from the beginning of her new life that she still guards very closely, determined to keep them as dark and painful as they were when they were first seared into her mind, she thinks she's reached the point at which the good memories she's made since then have started to outweigh the bad. Between Simon and Nadia, German and Loretta, and even Frost, somehow her life has turned out better than she'd ever thought it could.
