So... what do housecarls get up to when the Dragonborn isn't around? They tend to have a lot of free time (if you play like me, where you have six of them but just use Serana as your permanent follower and only see them when you come home to drop things off).
I want to know what they do when the DB isn't around. Do they keep house? Do they pine for their rarely-seen employer? Do they dread the DB's visits? Do they drink all the booze and fuck their lover (s) in the DB's bed?
You can take this in whatever direction you'd like - funny, angsty, smutty, anything, and do as many or as few housecarls as you like. I just want to read about their daily lives when the Dragonborn isn't around.
If you do take a smutty route, kinks are d/s dynamics, pet play, oral, rough sex, enthusiastic consent and/or dubcon (either direction is good), breathplay, power exchange, service kink... most things are good by me!
Squicks are non-con, heavy humiliation, anything that belongs in a toilet, excessive blood and gore, and slut shaming (unless it's obviously playful/joking and done as part of a scene).
*I would prefer that the Dragonborn is only mentioned versus actually appearing in the story, but if they do make a cameo, any race/gender is fine.
There's a bunch of stuff where Hawke or Anders or even Fenris is Inquisitor, but Merrill was there for the Dalish Warden origin. I'd love to see an AU where Merrill is the one who ends up a Warden, and saves Ferelden from the Blight.
+ For Awakening!Merrill bonding with Velanna + For positive representation of Merrill's blood magic ++++ for BAMF!Merrill absolutely blowing everyone away with how competent she actually is
Carver is gang-banged by sex-pollend or mind-controlled companions (can be both male and female) while unaffected Hawke is forced to watch.
+ one of them is Hawke's LI ++ Carver himself is unaffected by 'sex-pollen' +++ it is on the brutal side, with companions being agressive and physically forcing Carver ++++ aftermath
Stannis never receives Ned's letter about Joffrey's parentage. He's not the type to listen to scurrilous gossip (or the rumour never really spreads without him). He remains loyal to Joffrey, the rightful king... even as he realises the boy's a monster.
+ Renly still makes his bid for the throne, feelings are had (Stannis doesn't really want to fight his little brother for his insane nephew, but it's the right thing to do). + His reaction to the Red Wedding (he thinks Robb Stark is a traitor, but for his allies to have done something that dishonourable...)
Imagine your OTP as a pair of necromancers. They’re sitting on a grassy hill, hands intertwined, and watching as their undead hordes lay waste to humanity.
How about an Ion AU inspired by the Scarlet Letter, in which Rylan is Hester with her transgression being sleeping with Ion instead of adultery. (The letter, then, being D--ostensibly for "defiled", but more commonly understood to be for "demon".)
Imagine an AU where Person A is a deity banished from their pantheon to the mortal world and Person B is the human who ends up having to take care of them. Bonus points if Person A is clueless about the mortal world.
Imagine your person A of your OTP in a Calypso situation where they are trapped on an island where many heroes will wash up, but as soon as person A falls in love with them, a raft comes for them to leave. Person B finds the island, and person A doesn’t want to get their heart broken and avoids them as much as they can. Person B eventually strikes up a conversation, and within a few days both are falling in love.
Bonus: The boat comes and person B refuses to leave, but person A makes them go. Person B promises to find them again, but no hero finds the island Ogygia twice.
Bonus#2: When B leaves, they goes on a huge, dangerous quest to win the favor of the gods. When the gods ask what they want as reward, B says to release A from the curse. Person B comes back and they ride off together, smiling and kissing.
Imagine your OT3/4/5+ as the heirs to the thrones of separate empires. In an attempt to combine these dominions and become much more powerful, the current rulers arrange a polygamous marriage for them.
OTP Idea #708 Imagine Person A is kidnapped by Person C and begins to develop Stockholm Syndrome as a coping mechanism for the abuse they face. Finally, A is rescued and gets to return home to Person B, their lover. However Person A is emotionally scarred beyond belief and still harbours some feelings for Person C, which begins to complicate the relationship between Person A and B.
Zevran basically gave an oath and pledged himself into Warden's servitude, possible sexual usage included. Everyone (including Warden) more or less awkwardly laughed it off but Zevran still fully expects to be used. Because that's what the Crows taught him. That's why he keeps coming on to everyone.
Couple of weeks pass by, Zevran is considered just another member of their merry band of misfits. Warden has always fancied the sensual Antivan, so he finally decides to make a move on Zevran, not thinking anything of it. But Zevran is very much aware of his position of servitude so he agrees.
Some time later all that comes up and Warden and the other companions have to deal with the fact that Zevran still considers himself little more than slave and thinks consent some silly romantic notion rather than a real thing.
- whether Zevran actually wants Warden or not is up to a!a - whether Warden is horrified and super upset because he thought they had some kind of relationship or on the darker side and doesn't care is also up to a!a - show me companions' reaction, please!
When f!Cousland (or Amell/Tabris) decides to spare Loghain at Lands Meet everyone is shocked but she flees out the room before anyone can ask her why. Loghain himself doesn't look surprised, but isn't happy either. Alistair is furious at this betrayal and goes to confront his lover, only to find her sobbing in a ball. He's unable to break up with her in this state, because as angry as he is, he still loves her. Gradually she starts talking and explains why she saved Loghain's life: at Ostigar Loghain rescued her when Cailin tried to (or started to) rape her in his tent. Loghain stayed with her the whole night after to make sure Cailin didn't return, how could she kill Loghain after that? Suddenly a lot of unpleasant truths about Cailin, Eamon's motives and how it influenced Loghain's fatal decision all come spilling out from everyone at Lands Meet. Alistair has no idea what'll happen at Lands Meet now. But he knows two things: if he was in Loghain's position, he wouldn't have left Cailin to die, he'd have killed his brother himself, and no matter what it might cost him, Alistair will *never* give up or hide away his beloved Cousland.
A series on the Bailey School Kids with one story dedicated to each of the "monsters" the kids encounter (and to showing the coincidences that made them so suspicious to the children). Presumably this excludes Mrs. Jeepers and Mr. Drake, who are main characters of the OC shipping story.
A shipping story featuring an OC named Lilith Adder who becomes Mrs. Jeepers' assistant and friend and Mr. Drake's lover. The Bailey Four disprove their theory that she is a demon, but the two supposed vampires' supernatural status is left ambiguous.
The following idea is something I've seen at least a few times, but, frankly, all of them sucked in execution.
So, here's the concept: after Angelus is released in "Awakening", he finally shows everyone why he used to be called "The Scourge of Europe". With the heroes' plot armor stripped away, he blows through Angel Investigations like a hurricane. His sole mission is to destroy everything his soul has built, starting with Angel's L.A. loved ones before heading back to Sunnydale.
Connor, Buffy, and Cordelia* (in that order) should get the worst of it, as they're the ones he actually loves beyond friendship.
*I'm excising the Jasmine arc, as it's fucking stupid. When Cordelia gets her memories back at the end of Spin the Bottle, she's her; there are no possession shenanigans and none of that gross Oedipal shit with Connor. Cordy's just Cordy. The arc involving the First should remain intact, though, I suppose.
So let's see who we have. I fully expect him to kill Lilah first, but after that, there's still Cordelia, Wesley, Fred, Gunn, Connor, and Faith in Los Angeles, and Buffy, Willow, Xander, Anya, Dawn, Giles, Spike, Andrew, Robin, and the various potentials in Sunnydale.
I expect Connor will be brutally killed. I imagine Angelus killing Gunn and turning Wesley as a way to fuck with Fred. He'll probably try to kill Buffy and Faith rather than having Slaypires hanging around. I doubt he'd dare turn Giles, and he won't give a single shit about Andrew or the potentials, so they're probably going to be slaughtered. He might turn Dawn, but I doubt he'll bother turning Anya. He might be interested in Robin, though. As for Willow and Xander, I don't know... he kinda hates Xander, so I doubt he'd turn him, and keeping Willow alive would probably be dangerous. And that still begs the question of what to do with Cordelia and Fred; kill them or keep them? Not to mention the shit he'll likely do to Spike, who at this point has a soul but no chip. It's not likely to be pretty.
So, rough draft:
Lilah = killed Connor = brutally killed Cordelia = taken captive Gunn = killed (by Wes?) to torture Fred Wesley = turned to torture Fred Fred = turned by Wesley?
...on to Sunnydale...
Potentials = slaughtered Anya = slaughtered with the potentials Andrew = slaughtered w/ the potentials Dawn = turned during the slaughter Giles = killed by Wes and Dawn?
Now... here's the thing. This idea is naturally quite similar to Whirlwind, so I need to do what I can to differentiate the two (though I'm not going to assume this concept is an actual plan yet). For one thing, Buffy is turned in Whirlwind, and Spike is Angelus's mostly loyal grandchilde; in this continuity, I think I'd prefer to see the two of them stay as heroic as possible.
So here's what I'm thinking: part one takes place in L.A. Angelus gets out and kills Lila before escaping the hotel. Cordelia goes to warn Connor, but Angelus kills them both. He returns to the hotel and turns Wesley, who kills Gunn and turns Fred.
Part two shifts the plot to Sunnydale. Angelus stakes out Buffy's house, only to find the potentials there instead with Dawn, Andrew, and Anya; he kills the potentials, Andrew, and Anya, but he turns Dawn.
[working] He'll probably try to kill Buffy and Faith rather than having Slaypires hanging around. I doubt he'd dare turn Giles. He might be interested in Robin, though. As for Willow and Xander, I don't know... he kinda hates Xander, so I doubt he'd turn him, and keeping Willow alive would probably be dangerous. Not to mention the shit he'll likely do to Spike, who at this point has a soul but no chip. It's not likely to be pretty.
Emerald Chylde is the reincarnation of the Shikon no Tama--the combined souls of Midoriko and Magatsuhi--living in a post-WW3 Japan in which demons have resurfaced to damn near conquer the globe.
A very powerful hanyou (most demons are mixed at this point), she is chosen as the bride for one of the sons of the demonic emperor of Japan; desperate to escape the marriage, she flees... and inadvertently winds up in the Feudal Era, where the Shikon no Tama still exists and plans to use her to prevent Kagome from destroying it with her wish.
In the past, she slowly starts to understand who and what she is... while she struggles with her unrequited attraction to Sesshomaru and Naraku's obsession with her mysterious identity.
Kagome makes the wrong wish and becomes trapped in the Shikon Jewel with Naraku. Facing eternity alone with a multitude of demons and her archnemesis, Kagome begins to descend into darkness.
Song of the Lioness Idea [Roger/Thom OR Thom/Roger/Alanna]
A look into the origins of and reasoning behind Roger's relationship with Thom. Possible AU in that Roger seduces Alanna, but more likely the story will revolve around Roger taking out both his frustration and lust for Alanna on her twin brother.
