okay so this is totally probably more than just a simple drabble, but AU, Cailan survives and accompanies F!Warden (preferably Amell, but hey, whatever) and Alistair on their journeys because well, Loghain's trying to kill him and the Wardens are pretty much the safest place to be in Ferelden.

I want to do this as an Elissa story. Cailan legitimizes Alistair as his heir, stays married to Anora, and, if Anora never conceives, any children Elissa might have with either Cailan or Alistair will be assumed to be Alistair's and inherit after him.
