Frost holds her against him and presses his lips to the crown of her head, inhaling the rich scent of pomegranate shampoo. Before the Culling, the only fragrance she'd worn had been that of cheap soap vaguely reminiscent of lilies, and he fondly remembers the first time he managed to get close enough to detect it. She'd steered clear of him after that, apparently becoming aware that something was going on between them, and he'd known better than to try it again, no matter how much he'd wanted. Now, though, she isn't going anywhere, and he still can't get enough.
